As winter comes, our skincare regimes turn towards moisturisation the skin more. Dry winter weather undoubtedly needs regular moisturisation, but do you know that in winters also our skin gets dehydrated? Under the multiple layers of clothes, we barely realise how much water we have lost because of sweating. Even going to the washroom repeatedly loses a lot of water out of the body, which eventually leads to dehydration and extreme dryness of the skin. Adding only moisturisation to the skin can make it oily and clog pores, but when we hydrate our skin along with moisturisation, our skin becomes more beautiful and healthier.

Here in this blog, we will share some easy tips to keep your skin hydrated and moisturised throughout the winters.

  • Proper Water Intake
During winters, our water consumption usually reduces, but the release of water out of the body still goes on and sometimes it may increase because of dry weather. Drink at least 3 to 4 liters of water in a day. It will keep your body and skin hydrated. Prefer drinking lukewarm or room temperature water. Along with hydration, to add a glow to your skin, take 1 glass of lukewarm water, add a teaspoon of honey and squeeze one lemon into it. Drink it empty stomach in the early morning.

  • Eat Right
Add seasonal fruits, green leafy vegetables, dry fruits if not allergic, fibrous and protein-enriched food to your diet. These foods are full of nutrients and contain high water content that gives the body complete nutrition. Add green tea to your diet to keep digestion intact and to keep the body detox.

  • Avoid Hot Water Bath
Prefer taking a shower under lukewarm water and try to avoid taking a hot water bath during winters. As hot water instantly dries out the skin, decreases the excretion of natural oil within the skin. It removes moisture from the skin, whereas making the skin extremely dry.

  • Apply Body Creams or Body lotions
