A good skincare routine requires a lot of effort. Proper skincare helps to keep our outermost surface layer of skin intact. Keeping our skin healthy and moist helps keep the barrier strong. A healthy diet, adequate intake of water, avoiding alcohol and smoking along with proper skin care regime will help the skin age gracefully and beautifully. Healthy skin is better able to fight signs of aging, heals much faster and staves off potential disease better than unhealthy skin.
There are many ways we can moisturize the skin while we sleep as it is the time when our skin relaxes and regenerates. But before applying a moisturizer at night, remember to remove makeup and grime from the skin with a cleanser and tone the skin with an alcohol-free toner. A night-time moisturiser must be rich in retinol or Vitamin A to repair the skin and avoid visible signs of aging.
