At Blossom Kochhar Group of Companies, we have always believed in giving back to society and contributing towards a clean & green environment.
Corporate Social Responsibility has been a keystone for our company since its foundation. From choosing sustainability at all levels of operation to supporting NGOs, we strive to make a positive impact on the world around us.
As a natural beauty & wellness brand, we source all our ingredients from nature’s treasure trove. We consider it our responsibility to give back to nature what we take from it.
Till 2022, Blossom Kochhar Group of Companies successfully planted 10,000+ large trees and 30,000+ smaller varieties of trees with the help of Give Me Trees Trust. Out of these, 4000 trees have already matured. We have been able to sequester 440 kg of carbon, paving the way for a greener & healthier future. We will stick to our commitment to protecting the planet and promoting a sustainable future by planting more trees every year.
In addition to planting one tree daily and undertaking several tree plantation & conservation drives, we actively participates in various environment-friendly activities. These include manure-making from household waste, nature walks, nest-making to support wildlife, and more. We also partner with schools to engage young children in eco-friendly activities to foster a deep sense of responsibility for the well-being of our planet in them.
Blossom Kochhar College of Creative Arts & Design (BKCCAD) has been working in collaboration with Education for Life to provide training in the fields of hair and beauty to people in need. Education for Life is an aid program initiated by Intercoiffure Mondial (ICD), Paris. It aims to provide qualified training in hair & beauty to impoverished youth to create more job prospects for them.
We have been providing free hair & beauty training to widows, visually-impaired girls, and underprivileged young boys & girls with the support of various NGOs, like Urja Energy, Blind Relief Association, and Kalyan Trust. Our goal is to make these people financially independent and give them hope for a brighter future.
In 2021, Dr. Kochhar and BKCCAD professors trained several young underprivileged girls in mehndi, beauty, hair, and makeup in Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh, in collaboration with URJA-Energy NGO.
The Blossom Kochhar Group of Companies has been providing unwavering support to a number of cancer organizations, including the Indian Cancer Society and CanKids KidsCan, an NGO that supports children with cancer and their families.
Dr. Blossom Kochhar is a fervent supporter of the cause and the ambassador for CanKids KidsCan. She actively takes part in fundraising events like Light a Life and Cycle for Gold and works relentlessly to assist people with cancer and their families. We groom cancer patients to make them feel good and encourage them to have a positive self-image. We also provide hair & makeup training to cancer survivors and families to facilitate their rehabilitation into society with the support of CanKids KidsCan.
As a show of moral support, we send gifts to cancer patients and survivors on various occasions, like Cancer Survivors Month. We celebrate festivals like Christmas with them to foster a sense of community and uplift their spirits with a glimmer of optimism.
Additionally, we pledge our support to the Festival of Hope in their efforts to raise money for cancer survivors.
We believe every child deserves a right to education, and every small step taken in this direction can make a difference in their lives. We work in collaboration with Nabhangan Foundation, Kalyan Trust, and Amrit Charitable Trust, which work towards child development.
From 2021 to 2022, we distributed 3000 school bags in Maharashtra, North India, and the interiors of Kashmir. We distribute 2000 school bags each year to support our mission of empowering young minds to embrace education enthusiastically and move toward a promising future.
We recently gave body massage training to a group of blind girls and are committed to training many more underprivileged and impoverished women and children in the coming years. Our special training programs in cosmetology help acid attack survivors and specially-abled women to become job-ready. Our education-centric CSR activities continue to prioritise the empowerment of the underprivileged to help them succeed & thrive in society as financially independent & respectable individuals.
HOPE is a corporate philanthropic initiative taken by Blossom Kochhar Aroma Magic. Dr. Kochhar launched the initiative in 2020 with the objective of feeding COVID-19 patients. We haven’t looked back since and continue to feed cancer patients, underprivileged people, and migrant labourers in association with Kalyan Trust NGO. Until 2022, we distributed 33,000 food packets and currently send 300 food packets monthly to people in need.
These wholesome meals are prepared with lots of love & care in the sanitized and hygienic kitchen of The Tea Room by Blossom Kochhar.
Our CSR activities also focus on promoting the well-being of women. To educate women about the significance of menstrual hygiene, we distributed reusable sanitary napkins made by underprivileged women to women living in the slums of Yamuna Bank, New Delhi.
The underprivileged section of society lacks access to basic healthcare services essential for their well-being and health. We hold health checkup camps on special occasions, such as World Health Day, with a particular focus on those residing in slums.
